Students are responsible for finding their own housing; however our office will provide assistance to prospective students in finding appropriate lodging.

A wide range of accommodation is available in Hungary depending on the length of the rental, number of lodgers, quality and price.

Hostels of Higher Educational Institutions:

Most institutes of higher education have student hostels which offer facilities such as a kitchen, washing machines and internet access. These are typically dorm rooms consisting of two to four beds.

Hostels built in the last few years may offer more complex services such as restaurants, wireless internet, sport facilities and private bathrooms. These rooms are also dorm rooms which typically have two beds; a single room is sometimes available as well at a higher cost.

Approximate cost is between 120 EUR and 350 EUR, which is to be paid each month.

Hostels Offered by the Private Sector:

These hostels offer rooms which have two or more beds and one common bathroom. The price varies from 5 EUR to 20 EUR which is to be paid nightly.

Sublets, Rooms and Apartments:

If you need help, every university offers a wide variety of rooms, flats and apartments for rent. Prices are determined by the location and the size of the flat.

Be aware that

• Rental conditions are determined by the landlord.
• According to these conditions prices will vary between 200 EUR and 400 EUR per month.
• Landlords will typically require a security deposit which is most often double the rental fee, you will receive this back at the end of your lease.

You are responsible for your utilities which are to be paid monthly.
